Engagement

Recently, my best friend got engaged (YAY) and she held an engagement brunch at her house. We were running around all morning that morning cooking, putting last minute decorations together, setting up the for the brunch and getting the house ready for the guest. Since it was a special day for her and fiance, I wanted to wear something that had a bit of pizzazz to it to celebrate their engagement. I decided to go with this chevron print dress. I absolutely love the pattern! (Check out how I styled a colorful chevron print top here)
The zig-zag, inverted v-shape print is bold statement print that is being seen everywhere from clothing items to house decor. I really love that print and when I saw it on this dress, I knew it would be perfect for the celebration. The pattern is fun and great alternative to striped/vertical lines on a dress. What I love about this dress is the fact that it can be worn dressed up or down and it still makes you look put together. The pattern on the dress is not overpowering and can be paired with anything because the dress is so versatile. You can add color to you look by pairing the dress with colorful accessories and shoes or glamming it up with gold accessories. It can be styled how you want. For my look today, I went with the gold and black look. I paired my dress with black wedges that have a bit of a gold detail on the bottom, a gold clutch and black and gold accessories.

I Dream of Jeannie

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! My weekend was filled with birthday celebrations and spending time with family and friends. Couldn't ask for a better weekend!
Today's look is a very colorful look that centers around this patchwork floral pants that I recently got. I love the pattern on the pants and they are perfect for wearing in the Spring/Summer season. Everywhere I went, everyone told me my pants remind them of the I Dream of Jeannie pants and I couldn't disagree. These pants have a drawstring at the bottom that I synced around the ankle to give off the look. They are very comfortable and very versatile. The colorful floral pattern on the pants make styling them a breeze. Since pink is one of favorite colors, I decided to focus on the pink in the pants by pairing it with a baby pink jacket/blazer. I completed my look with a white tank top, turquoise clutch and a nude strappy heel. Have a great day!

Hipster Chic

I've always been a Disney fanatic and one of my favorite Disney princess is Ariel from the Little Mermaid. I love her innocents and despite trying to obey her father, she did what she had to do to be with her true love Eric♥. This movie is amazing and one of my favorite song from soundtrack is this one, which I would sing all the time still to this day! This movie is amazing and I watch it everyday:). Recently, I was at Target and I saw this modern day hispter Ariel and knew I had to have it. She is looking extra chic with the nerd glasses so I decided to play on the look by wearing my husband's nerd glasses with my look. I paired my tee with a pair of red pants that have tan dots on them to match Ariel's skin and hair. Then to complete the look, I decided to edge it up by pairing it with combat boots. I had so much fun with this outfit and I hope you guys enjoy the look:).

Summer Breeze

Summers in Miami means two things: hot and rainy. And it pretty much like this all year round! Since it is tends to be very hot and muggy out, I like to wear something that will keep me nice and cool. My go-to summer outfit choice are dresses. I want to be in something that is flowy and feminine and would work great in the Miami heat. I love wearing hi-low dresses, maxi dresses and full length dresses because they are comfortable and they don't require a lot of thought. You put one on, add accessories and you are good to go:).
For today's look, I am wearing a flowy dress that I recently got from Target. I was drawn to this dress because of its colorful pattern and contrasting colors of the blue and green. I also like the the style of it because the dress has a bodice that gives off the illusion of a corset without really having one. On the day we decided to take pictures, it was really breezy out and was a perfect way to showcase how flowy the dress really is:).

Happy Feet

Lately, it has been raining a lot here in Miami (which has made taking pictures a bit difficult) but on this day the rain stopped long enough for me take pictures. And the best part about that day was that the sun came out, which we haven't seen in days!
I recently purchased this red and blue vest from Zara and I was having a hard time styling it. The pattern on the vest is very busy and I wanted it to be the focal point of the outfit. I played around with a lot of pieces in my closet and none of them made the outfit exciting enough for me. I usually like to plan my outfits the night before but I tend to over think them sometimes which gets a bit frustrating. I decided to come back to the vest another day and immediately an outfit came to mind. I find that sometimes outfit I put together last minute come out better than the ones I plan. I guess it's because I don't over think it and I let my creativity just flow:). For this look, I paired the vest with red pants for a bright look and finished it off a white top with a sneakers print and studded sandals. What I created was a simply but fun and a bright outfit to cheer me up on a rainy day:).
