Floral Kimono

Happy Friday everyone! I am soo glad it’s the weekend and I ready to take it easy and I hope you all are too!
Awhile back I was in TJMaxx and saw this black maxi dress and fell in love with it. When you look at it from the front, it’s your typical long black dress but then you turn it around and viola…cutout crisscross detail in the back. That detail enhanced the dress a bit and helped to set it apart from all the others. To spice up the look, I decided to throw on this floral print kimono that I picked up from Marshalls. I was immediately drawn to the colors and love how the fringe detail sets this kimono apart and felt that it would be perfect for my dress. It added something to look without it being over the top. To complete my outfit, I added colorful accessories that played off the colors in the kimono.

When I wore this outfit out, I had so many people tell that I looked like a geisha and even though that wasn't the look that I was going for, I loved the compliment. Hope you all enjoy this look.

Aztec Warrior

I am all about being comfortable especially when I am going to be out all day. If I know I will be running around, I will throw on a comfortable outfit with comfortable heels. I do love to wear heels for the most part when I am out and about so I have to make sure the heels I wear don’t cause me pain and these don’t. Since I have wide feet, I can adjust the strings to my liking and allow my feet to breathe, which allow me to wear these strappy heels for 8+ without a problem. That’s a plus in my book.

Now on to the look.  I recently got these Aztec print pants from Nordstrom Rack because I feel in love with the print on them.  I also love how they scrunch up at the bottom giving them a more fitted look. Since the pants have small red detailing inside of the Aztec print, I decided to bring it out by pairing it a red hooded vest that I’ve had for years for an added pop of color. To finish the look, I paired it with my favorite structured bag of the moment that I got from H&M. I really like how this look came out and I hope you all enjoy the look as much as I did.

Feminine and Flirty

I absolutely love skirt! I love how flirty and feminine they are as well as how easy they are to style. If you ever find yourself in a fashion rut and don’t know what to wear, just grab a skirt and a top, add accessories and they you go. You have a simple out that looks like you took time to put togetherJ.

For my outfit today, I decide to take my look up a notch and make it extra girly. Since I was going for a more dressed up look, I paired my skirt with a baby pink cardigan to bring out the baby pink in my skirt, tan chunky heels and a statement necklace. I loved how this look came out and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
